With this week’s launch of Marvel Pinball: Avengers Chronicles, Zen Studios has managed to surpass the majority of comic book enthusiasts in terms of their expectations, with some amazing made tables based on famous hero stories like Fear Itself, World War Hulk and, more importantly, The Infinity Gauntlet. However, with the launch of the previous hero tables like Wolverine, Ghost Rider and Iron Man, has the Zen Studios really captured all of the thrilling action they could have with the Marvel license?
We’re not sure but, in that we’ve compiled ten suggestions for tables in the near future that our team will definitely work on for the future. Zen Studios crew, we have some excellent suggestions for you to consider.
Hulk Vs.
World War Hulk really did some good for us in terms of contemporary table designs and put the Hulk into the middle of the action. But we’d love to see designs that actually put the Hulk against the best of Marvel’s. This could include going head-tohead against Thor during bonus rounds, shooting for the skill shots of Wolverine and pitting the Hulk against other adversaries such as Venom or Juggernaut. Let’s get creative and make sure that we keep him fighting that keeps us focused.
Magneto
We’re left to think about what a table based on Magneto might look like , after all the talk of the Magneto spinoff film. The table would be magnet-based similar to the pinball tables that most have. However, we can imagine the possibility of a bonus round where balls spin in middle of the table and then explode into multiball excitement. You could also bring other X-Men characters to assist him fight, keeping the multi-scoring rounds running. It’s something worth considering.
X-Men First Classes
Hey, why don’t you? Zen Studios could create a table inspired by the Avengers film. Why shouldn’t they talk with Fox about making a First Class table that is built not just on the film of 2011, but also on the sequel that is scheduled to be released in the next years? They could create the 60’s-inspired table with plenty of bonus rounds with LEDs, fantastic music and lots of targets to shoot through the playfield. Also, you can get an old-fashioned Beast!
The Punisher
We don’t mean Thomas Jane’s crappy Thomas Jane movie, but the real Punisher who’s not afraid to be brutally savage against the Kingpin and his gang of enemies. It could be a shootout with LEDs or massive skill shots that need larger guns. Additionally, there will be plenty of punshes that will laugh at youwhile delivering justice as only he can. Zen Studios could create a first person shooter based upon Punisher. They could also make an arcade machine that is based on his character.
The Amazing Spider-Man
Zen Studios could talk with Sony to create a new Spider-Man table, based on the reboot film. The movie is scheduled to hit theaters within weeks. A home arcade center site video release is planned for fall. You could think about bonuses that permit you to shoot at Lizard and escape the police pursuits. There are also ramps for skill that let the ball be able to glide over pursuers. You know what? The film series could be made into a new version.
Venom
Why should the web-head be the only one to have all the fun? Let’s give Venom an opportunity to sit in the game. He has the ability to declare victory over his adversaries in various comic book stories including Lethal Protector (carnage unleashed), Separation Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Separation Anxiety, Separated Anxiety (with a nervous Spider-Man) and The Hunger. Let’s also get an actor with a voice who’s not scared to shout insults because only Venom knows the best. The black plunger could be added. It’s something to think about…
Ms. Marvel, Psylocke and the Marvel Girls (Emma Frost also)
Let’s sacrifice our girls’ power and give the heroes of the Marvel universe their own table. What are your thoughts? We’d be thrilled to get to know Ms. Marvel, Psylocke as well as other female heroes from the X-Men/Marvel universe. It would be fantastic bonus rounds, interesting collector balls based on each female persona and table art that is dedicated to each. Zen Studios, you can’t ignore the girls.
Daredevil
This might be a criticism for the Ben Affleck film but what’s wrong about a daredevil table? What about creating one in which the entire field is black and the only way of knowing where the ball is the table is to have the vibration sensors activate whenever it strikes something, like tiles or a bumper? This could be a bit frustrating for certain, but it could be great for the fans of the book.
Howard the Duck
It’s like a joke and is almost on the like the 1986 film which George Lucas backed away from after persuading him to make it (figures) However, think about it. Imagine a table for pinball with a wise-cracking duck who is smoking a cigar with you and trying to get wise as you shoot a few skillful shots to protect the world from the Dark Overlords. There’s nothing more enjoyable.
Squirrel Girl
It’s bound to happen. ‘Nuff said.
