HELL’S KITCHEN-Ibrahim Sani

I called
Hunger answered
I knocked
Poverty answered
I shouted
Oppression answered
I walked
Corruption followed
I ran
Insecurity followed

What then should I celebrate
When the state is run in gutters
And adorned with bigotry?

What then should I celebrate
When extremism and fanaticism:
Tribalism cum regionalism
Rainbowed the atmosphere?

What then should I celebrate?
Where did the unity and honor go to?
