An Ode to Corona-Ramzan Asad

In the days of pandemic,

Go and see,

The streets are deserted,

the plains are free,

No work, no bar ,no casino,

Men are confined,

home is their jail,

Stout ,sturdy have become frail,

Plants ,birds and animals are so happy,

They have come out from the colonies of man,

Who brought them pain with no reason,

Listen a sound of freedom,

from a nightingale voice,

announcing the defeat of tyranny ,

The panademic has got the revenge,

Men are begging for mercy,

It seems life is on its last circle.

Ramzan Asad is a poet and research scholar who is currently associated with Riphah International University, Lahore.
