October Evenings-Masooma Ishtiaq

October dusk breeze is much more than itself –
It takes my poet towards the wrench skies
I dare not to let it anywhere but, gloomy winds extend my heartache.
October eve is like a cage around me
It doesn’t allow my poet to be at peace.
My snowy memories paint the walls of my mind
with gloomy colors –
and compel my nerves to brew my soul ashes onto this wind.
October winds – aahh October winds –
You uplift the soul of Dickinson
As her heart was like an autumn leaf
Fallen, crimped by many.
